In order to meet the needs of the old households in the water industry, Integrated Electronic Systems Lab Co.,Ltd. (iESLab) launched the iES-WMNET wireless ad hoc network meter reading system program based on LoRa communication technology. In order to cope with the complex and changeable wireless environment, the scheme not only fully exploits the advantages of LoRa technology for long-distance communication, but also develops an ad hoc network algorithm between water meter and the meter reading device, which is a double guarantee for high meter reading rate.
Since the launch of the program, it has been applied in the market. The program successfully resolved the problem of low meter reading rate in the installation environment such as kitchen, toilet, pipeline well, underground well and outdoor meter box. The overall meter reading rate can reach over 99%.
